Community Toolbox

Rebuilding Macon’s Community Toolbox is designed to be a vast tool library that lends tools and equipment to community-based organizations for use, not only in our mission-driven service projects, but other nonprofit and community based organizations as well. We are stocked with tool types such as power tools, ladders, safety and custodial gear, as well as tools for landscaping, carpentry, masonry, drywall, demolition, and plumbing projects. Rebuilding Macon encourages individuals, civic groups, church organizations and other nonprofits to participate in the activities of efforts to improve the community in their local neighborhoods.

The Community Toolbox will serve as a repository for equipment, ensuring its good condition and availability when needed.

The primary goal of Rebuilding Macon’s Community Toolbox is to provide tools for use for our volunteers in repairing and revitalizing the houses of elderly and disabled homeowners, as well as providing tools to other nonprofits for community service projects. The borrowing of Community Toolbox equipment allows nonprofits to avoid the prohibitive cost of buying or renting expensive tools, and increases the overall impact of their project through easy access to ample and appropriate equipment.
