Rebuilding Macon is central Georgia’s largest nonprofit organization working to preserve homeownership and neighborhoods by providing rehabilitation services free of charge to those in need. Through the support of corporate sponsors, local businesses, and the hands-on work of over 2500 volunteers, Rebuilding Macon rehabilitated and repaired over 260 homes last year.
Rebuilding Macon is unique in that it functions from a true “neighbor helping neighbor” position. This collaborative effort has resulted in a strengthening bond between the homeowners and their neighborhoods.
Skilled
We need carpenters, electricians, plumbers, roofers, painters, and contractors to address structural issues like leaking roofs, faulty wiring, and plumbing problems.
We supply building materials and the support of other skilled volunteers. You provide your knowledge, experience, and time.

Rebuilding Macon accepts volunteers with all levels of skill. Everyone can help! We need volunteers to help paint, clean, and perform numerous other small household jobs. We provide guidance, all material, and set up teams of 10-20 volunteers at each house. Encourage your families, friends, and co-workers to volunteer, too, and make a great day of it. We welcome anyone who is willing to help us in our rebuilding and rehabilitation efforts. If you are volunteering alone or with a few friends you will likely be placed with larger groups attending the same project.
Children under 14 years of age are not allowed to volunteer.

Volunteer groups from companies, associations, churches, schools, clubs and etc. fit perfectly with Rebuilding Macon projects. Not only will you have fun and excitement working on a worthwhile project together, but your organization will have the opportunity for teambuilding, development, and community involvement. We only need the contact person for your group to get you started.
