Rebuilding Macon received a $10,000 Community Foundation of Central Georgia Responsive Grant for their Emergency Repairs Program. Through an emphasis on community partnership, Rebuilding Macon’s Emergency Home Repairs Program strengthens neighborhoods by providing critical emergency home repairs to low-income elderly and/or disabled homeowners at no cost to the homeowner. The homes of low-income elderly and/or disabled homeowners are repaired with the directive to keep the homeowner warm, safe, dry and independent, and typical repairs include floor stabilization, roof repairs, plumbing repairs, weatherization and electrical repairs.
